How we built this test
Methodology & sources
The ten questions reproduce the AQ-10, the validated ten-item short form of the Autism Spectrum Quotient developed and tested by Allison, Auyeung, and Baron-Cohen (2012). Six items are scored for an agree response and four for a disagree response; we handle that direction internally so that one point always reflects an autistic-direction answer. The total runs from 0 to 10, and the validated cutoff of 6 or more is the point at which the authors suggest considering a referral for a full diagnostic assessment.
